Cora is a certified Teacher of the Disabled with experience in teaching children with and without special needs for more than 16 years. She is a highly energetic and enthusiastic individual, her specialization is in the areas of special education in an elementary school setting. She has extensive experience working with children (3-5 years old) in a pre-school disabled classroom setting as well as with students (5-7 years old) with Autism.

In addition, she provides services as a Developmental Intervention Provider in the early intervention program to children from birth to 3 years old. She also engages in an after school program, as a lead teacher working with children who have difficulties in behavior management, social skills, toilet training and daily living skills. Furthermore, she works privately with families to teach techniques and strategies in how to manage a child's behavior, plan a structured schedule, help with toilet training, etc.

Cora’s lessons capture children’s imagination and interest in learning about new and exciting things. As she teaches, she focuses on the goals and skills of the child to maximize the instruction. Meeting each child’s needs and increasing positive behaviors play crucial roles in her teaching method. To have fun while learning is Cora’s motto for engaging young children. As a tool for children's success, she believes that finding out each child’s interest and capabilities will help establish a motivation factor for children to gain new knowledge.

As a teacher with a diverse background, Cora will provide a multi-faceted approach and will be sensitive to students' varied experiences and background. Cora’s number one goal for each student is to provide quality education in a fun and interactive way.
